Ingredients

  • ½ Cup Medjool dates, chopped
  • ¾ Cup Almond Milk
  • ½ tsp. Baking Soda
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp. Cinnamon Powder
  • ¾ Cup All-purpose Flour (you can use Gluten Free Flour)
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • ½ Cup Canola Oil

Ingredients for the Sauce

  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Canola Oil
  • ¾ Cup Coconut cream
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla

Method

  • Preheat Oven to 190 degrees C, grease the cake pan or bowl with non-sticky spray or Oil. Then Set Aside
  • Add the dates and almond milk then cook for 2 min, remove from heat and add the baking soda then set aside
  • Mix the Oil with brown sugar until you get a light creamy mixture
  • Add the dates mix and fold gently
  • Bake for 30-40 min maximum
  • Once done, remove from heat and let it cool. Meanwhile prepare the sauce

Sauce:

  • Heat the brown sugar and Oil and mix until well combined. Boil for 1 min
  • Take off heat and add the cream.
  • Add Salt and Vanilla and Mix well
