One month only left of your summer vacation. And we bet you are already running out of ideas to keep your kids entertained!  Don’t worry, we have your backs. Below are some fun things that are sure to keep your kids occupied for the rest of the summer.

  1. Family Trip Day

Plan a family trip to the best spots that your locale has to offer. Be their tour guide of the day and take your kids on adventures. Don’t forget to include museums and historical places that can help them interact more with your heritage! Familiarize them with their culture by taking them to places that were important to you as a child.

 

  1. Make it green

Gardening is a fun activity to do with your kids but it also gives them a lot of learning experiences. It is really important to teach them to take a step back and feel the earth around them. Gardening is an amazing sensory experience for your kids which is vital for their growth and development. Give them a piece of your childhood by letting them dig into the soil and get their hands dirty. this season can be a tricky time to grow plants but there are definitely some options like tomatoes, orchids, cucumbers etc., which can be grown indoors and outdoors.

Encourage your kids to write journals about their day, their likes and dislikes. This will also inspire them to be observant of their surroundings like the birds that come to drink from their birdfeeder. You can also get to know your child better while reading their journals.

Have your kids join you in the kitchen and turn them into your sous-chef. Make them feel in control by asking them to pick out what vegetables to cook, and playfully asking them how much spices to add; this will definitely their confidence. Don’t be afraid to give them small tasks as they will learn to how to listen and follow instructions. These small gestures will make them feel more appreciative towards you.
